🌏 English - Why we are here?
What we have always felt is this:
“When each individual shines, the future becomes brighter.”
That light, we believe, connects the past to the future, transcending generations and cultures.
Our home, Tsukuba, is a wonderful city where multinational cultures blend together.
It is home to many universities and research institutions, where different skin colors, languages, and cultures intersect.
Yet at times, we feel an invisible wall there—a sense of division.
We know that people may have different feelings toward foreigners.
But as neighbors who live in the same city, who care about the community, and who build the future together,
we strongly wish to deepen our connections and nurture a true sense of belonging.
That is why we believe our English conversation school still has an important role to play.
Language is a bridge between people.
Through English, we can connect hearts and foster not division, but trust and compassion.
This has nothing to do with nationality. We hope both Japanese and foreigners alike will embrace this.
Nothing can be created from hostility or fear of differences.
We want to build a future-oriented, exciting community.
All the foreign teachers at Helena are genuinely kind and full of compassion.
We want to strengthen that spirit and let a culture of compassion take root throughout the community.
The walls of nationality can be broken down more easily than we think.
It’s simply a matter of whether we choose to act or not.
Through English education, we will help foster a community with a true sense of unity.
We wanted to share these feelings with you.

私がずっと感じているのは──
「一人ひとりが輝けば、未来はもっと明るくなる」 ということ。
その輝きは、過去から未来へ、世代や文化を超えてつながっていくものだと思うのです。
私たちが拠点とする“つくば”は、多国籍な文化が混ざり合う素敵なまち。
大学や研究機関も多く、さまざまな肌の色、言語、文化が交差しています。
でも時に、そこに“分断”のような見えない壁を感じることもあります。
外国人に対してさまざまな思いを抱く方もいると思います。
でも、同じまちで暮らし、地域を想い、共に未来を築いていく存在として、
もっとつながりを深め、共同体意識を育てていきたいと強く思っています。
そのために、私たちの英会話スクールには、まだまだ大きな役割があると感じています。
言葉は、人と人をつなぐ手段。
英語を通じて心を通わせ、分断ではなく「信頼」と「思いやり」を育んでいく。
これには国籍は関係ありません。日本人だけでなく、外国人にも育んでほしいと思っています。
敵対意識や違いを恐れる気持ちからは、何も生まれません。
私たちは、未来思考でワクワクする地域をつくっていきたい。
ヘレナにいる外国人講師たちはみんな本当に優しくて、思いやりにあふれています。
そんな空気をもっと強くして、地域全体に“思いやりの文化”を根付かせたいです。
国籍の壁は、意外と簡単に打ち破れる。
行動するかどうか──それだけなんだと思います。
私たちは、英語教育という手段を使い、共同体意識のあるまちを育てていきます。
